A 12-year-old in Wisconsin is being hailed a hero after stopping the kidnapping of a 4-year-old girl.

A group of neighborhood children, including 12-year-old Jada Miller, were playing in a garage. At some point, a 27-year-old man named Benjamin Spasogevich-Lee grabbed 4-year-old Caylee by the hand and started leading her down the street.

When Jada noticed the man holding Cayleeโ€™s wrist and walking away from the house, she realized it wasnโ€™t one of her parents, and she sensed that something wasnโ€™t right. She immediately began running toward the man and Caylee. Her friend, Trinity Stout went to get Cayleeโ€™s parents.

Jada ran down the street toward the kidnapper who was holding Cayleeโ€™s wrist. She yanked her away from the strange man.

โ€œI ran down to them. I grabbed Cayleeโ€™s arm and grabbed her around her stomach. He was holding onto her wrist. I yanked Caylee away from him. I started to run back to my house,โ€ the 12-year-old said on the police report.

โ€œCaylee was like โ€˜Iโ€™ll be backโ€™ and then I looked at him and said, โ€˜no she wonโ€™t.โ€

The girlโ€™s father ran outside to hear what happened and immediately called the police. It wasnโ€™t the first time that Spasogevich-Lee had been in trouble. He had been charged with kidnapping in Illinois back in 2010. However, that charge was reduced to disorderly conduct.

Neighbors knew Brandon Spasogevich-Lee by the name of Eli or Elijah. Many people in the area thought him to be suspicious. He had talked about kidnapping and rape with the neighborhood children.

Jada, a seventh-grader in Kenosha, Wisconsin, said she played with the neighborhood kids a lot, including Caylee, so she knew her family and she knew something was amiss when Spasogevich-Lee took Caylee. โ€œI was scared that she could have been taken away,โ€ she said.

At just 12-years-old, Jada said that she was just acting on instinct and, of course, Cayleeโ€™s family couldnโ€™t be more grateful for her actions that day. She saved their daughter from a potentially tragic situation. As far as Jadaโ€™s family goes, her grandfather couldnโ€™t stop smiling when he heard what she had done.
