Maia’s journey on the show continued to the Semi-Finals, where she performed another Whitney Houston song, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength,” despite battling tonsillitis.

Simon Cowell praised her courage, saying, “You got tonsillitis and you decide to sing one of the hardest Whitney songs. That takes guts and it worked.”

David added, “You did everyone in Wales proud. I am sure everyone is rooting for you.”
