If you ask me if I know a famous female country singer songwriter in the last decade, only one person comes to mind. Carrie Underwood. After winning the fourth season of American Idol, Carrie Underwood has taken the country music scene by storm, winning more awards than I can count.
Have I seen anyone that I think one day has the potential to be the next Carrie Underwood? I would’ve said no, but then I saw this video.
Meet Chloe Channell. She’s 11 year old, and she wants to be a country music legend. Desire, however, is just one of the many ingredients needed to create a music star. You also need talent. Fortunately, Chloe has both. When asked about her motivations, Chloe responded,
“I sing all the time. I just want to see people smile when I sing, that’s all I ask for.”
