If there ever was proof that there is no age to romance this is it
This couple may be old in years but everything about them is young. There were a few reasons why John who is 100 and Phyliss who is 102 decided to get married.
About Phyllis
Phyllis who is 102 (turning 103 in 2019) is not overly concerned about her age and how much time she will have to spend with her new husband. After all her Mother lived until she was 106. Phyllis is a strong Christian and her morals are very high.
Based on her morals she was of the strong belief that she and John should be married. Phyliss had lost two spouses prior to meeting John.
About John
John at 100 years of age is still full of life. Like Phyllis he too had lost two previous spouses. John is a WWll veteran. He wanted to honour Phyllis and the way he put it was to keep her an honest woman, so they got married.
The Courtship
Both live in the Kingston Residence in Sylvania Ohio. John lives on one floor and Phyllis lives on the floor below. They both felt they were compatible with each other and fell in love. They had been courting each other for about a year. Both were in total agreement of wedlock.
The Unplanned Wedding
Unlike other couples there was no long planned out wedding. In fact, the first step was to obtain their marriage licence which they did. They were expecting to get married some time after this. But, they were in for a surprise.
When they went to get their licence they were told they could be married right on the spot. Much to John’s delight as he replied, “Good let’s get it over with”. And the couple were married right then and there. They later celebrated their union in a more formal manner.
Plans for the Future
Both John and Phyllis have indicated that they will continue to carry on their lives together as they have been doing.
Their Activities
The newly married couple will continue enjoying their meals together and spending time on the patio enjoying the fresh air. That is not all they will be doing either. According to John one of their activities is not one he feels he should be talking about. Phyllis however was much more candid when she said that neither she nor John are dead yet sexually.
Same Living Arrangements
Both have agreed that for now they will keep their separate living quarters so they can each have their space. Perhaps that may change in the future but there is no doubt that John and Phyllis have been bitten by the love bug.

Not The Oldest Couple
At the age of 100 and 102 many may think that this is the oldest couple to have married. There are some other impressive marriage records when it comes to age.
Masao Matsumoto and Miyako had been married eighty-one years. Masao passed away at the age of 108 when Miyako was 101. According to the Guinness World Record this was the oldest aggregate age of married couples.
A Lesson To Be Learned
With so many divorces that take place today the importance of marriage seems to be lost. However, when stories like these come to light then it just might give others hope that there really is true love and that marriage is the tie that binds it.
