“Bohemian Rhapsody” is a song that gives you chills and has you rocking out at the same time. Now imagine having dozens of voices join for a rendition of the Queen classic, which is exactly what took place when a youth choir auditioned on Georgia’s Got Talent.

Whether you’re a fan of “Bohemian Rhapsody” or just have an admiration for music – it’s a performance that was well-deserving of the standing ovation it received.

Musical artists around the world have paid homage to the British rock band Queen (and its legendary frontman Freddie Mercury) by covering their songs. The range has been wide too, from Metallica to The Muppets.

However, besides famous singers – there are even youngsters that appreciate Queen’s music and the voice of the late Mercury. On shows like The Voice Kids, we’ve seen a nine-year-old take on “Don’t Stop Me Now” and a 13-year-old leave everyone awestruck with “Somebody to Love.”

A choir from the country of Georgia also discovered the power of a Queen hit. Like many others, they decided to take their performance to the big stage of the Got Talent series.

For their audition, the members of the choir (which is made up of a variety of ages) all dressed alike in white suits with golden fringe shoulder pads. Very “royal” indeed.

Together they sing “Bohemian Rhapsody,” beginning with the ballad portion of the song. To accompany their beautiful voices the youngsters add in hand and body movements.

The judges watch on as the kids pretend to pray during the lyrics, “I’m just a poor boy, I need no sympathy,” followed by swaying along to, “Because I’m easy come, easy go – A little high, little low.”

As the performance continues the energy rises, causing goosebumps to spread even further.

At one high point, the crowd starts to clap and even the judges get in on the excitement. It’s obvious they’re enjoying the audition as much as everyone else in the room.

The operatic segment of the tune is just as entertaining – with the kids using lots of motions as they sing out the unusual words like, “Scaramouch” and “Gallileo.” One thing to remember is that English isn’t the native language of the choir members, which makes it all even more impressive.

Get ready to rock – because these kids know how to bring down the house.

At the three-minute mark of the performance, it becomes a mini-concert as the choir headbangs along to the rock-and-roll portion of “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Of course, it eventually lowers back down to a simmer as the song comes to an end.

Unsurprisingly, everyone jumped to their feet to give the choir a proper round of applause. It’s just that amazing.

Once Got Talent Global posted the Georgia choir’s audition on their YouTube channel it went viral. As of today, it’s been watched more than five million times already.

Many fans of the video left positive comments such as:

“Absolutely OUT of this Universe Musical Director. He not only had these kids singing—Pitch PERfect—in a language foreign to theirs, but he had them understanding every word, and conveying the deep meaning of every single one! OUTSTANDING!!!!”
