Wedding receptions aren’t just for eating cake and watching your uncle make a fool out of himself on the dance floor. Nowadays, many brides and grooms try and surprise their guests with epic performances they’ll never forget.

A couple named Stephanie and Jeremiah also wanted to spark up their big day – so secretly planned a dance routine that would blow their loved ones out of the water. Let’s just say all those who attended “had the time of their lives.”

Get ready to watch Stephanie and Jeremiah perform one of the most classic dance scenes, which comes from the film Dirty Dancing!

If you still swoon every time you watch Johnny Castle bust a move in Dirty Dancing – I get it, I do too.

Since it was released in 1987, the movie’s continued to steal people’s hearts all over the world.

While you likely can repeat every memorable line, such as Baby’s “I carried a watermelon,” there was one scene that you might have rewound 1,001 times. Yep, the final dance at Kellerman’s.

The routine was so incredible that you probably found yourself trying to copy some of the steps in your living room (minus the lift, of course). For this reason, it should be no surprise that the internet is full of couples also trying to recreate the sizzling scene too.

Stephanie and Jeremiah decided to take on the challenge for their wedding day.

A lot of newlyweds’ first dance is slow and sweet, but not this bride and groom, who instead spiced things up. In the video, Stephanie is wearing a short white dress while her husband is in all black.

There were perhaps some folks who could tell from the couple’s outfits what dance was about to come. However, the moment “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” begins to play, there was no question Johnny and Baby were back!

Everyone cheers as Jeremiah gives his bride a dip. He then caresses her underarm, a famous move that sends the dance to the next level…

It’s showtime!

In a flash, the newlyweds heat up the dance floor with twirls and fancy footwork straight from Dirty Dancing. There’s no doubt they put in a lot of practice to get the routine down so well.

At one point, Jeremiah lifts Stephanie and spins her around in a circle, which drives the guest nuts.

The routine has some of their own flair too – but overall, it’ll bring you straight down memory lane.

During the couple’s dance to “The Time of My Life,” surely everyone was curious if they would be attempting “the lift.”

While Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze do it flawlessly in the movie – it seems a little risky to say the least. Even Grey explained to The Guardian that she only attempted it once for the scene.

“I only did it on the day I shot it. Never rehearsed it, never done it since. I don’t know how all these people who re-enact it have the guts to throw themselves into the arms of anyone other than Patrick Swayze. It’s insane!”
