A shoplifter was caught after colliding with a shopping cart.
Police officers were hot on the tail of the would be thief when an unknown man bid his time and with perfect aim, pushed his shopping cart onto the path of the fleeing suspect.
You can see the collision and the fall. Ouch.
Worthy to wield the shopping cart!
This good Samaritan was on his way to his car when he heard the pursuit.
You can see the cops responding to the call and suddenly burst into chase mode.
The shoppers of Peachtree City, Georgia were in for a treat. Must have been quite a story to tell when they got home!

The people in the parking lot stopped and watched as the chase took place. Others even backed off and shielded themselves from the action while the events unfolded.
But not this guy. No cape, no shield, no technology. Just good old fashioned wits and guts.
All it took was an aim and a push to send the escaping shoplifter hurtling to the ground. He scrambles to get up and run but the cops tackle him and pin him down.
Only an innocent item needed to capture this felon
Goes to show that anyone can be a hero in their own way if they choose to. The cops even pat him on the back and help him pick up his groceries.
Sgt. Chris Hyatt says there were two suspects. The cart felon was arrested with small ticket items while the other managed to escape with power tools on board a getaway vehicle.
No uniform for this cart crusader
Paramedics arrived on the scene to treat the suspect who astonishingly did not suffer any injuries. Except to his ego.
While the police did thank and help the parking lot hero, they did issue a statement online saying:
“While we are eternally grateful for this citizen’s quick thinking and impeccable timing, we never encourage anybody to intervene in a police situation.”
After all, there are dangers and risks involved. However, the yellow shirt crusader decided that one more bad guy behind bars wouldn’t hurt.
You have the right to remain silent. Stop saying ouch.
The world needs random strangers willing to stop those who think they can get away with dirty deeds.
But do exercise caution when doing so. It is still best to leave such situations to the proper authorities.
If you can’t make it, prepare to wear it.
Residents of Peachtree City now have a hero to call their own. There’s no need to fear when out shopping for groceries.
The cart man of Walmart will be sure to dish out justice the way he sees fit. With cold carts and cold bars.
