When young singer Isabel de Jongh auditioned on The Voice Kids Netherlands, she didn’t realize her life was going to change with one song.

Isabel came into the blind auditions with the initial desire to just get at least one chair to turn. Did she achieve that goal?

For the blind auditions, Isabel sang “See You Again” by Whiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Putt. She had her family and friends present to cheer her on and support her audition. And she used that support to power through her performance.

Wearing denim overalls, a white sweatshirt, and sneakers, she looked like such an unassuming young girl.

But when she opened her voice to sing, out came a melodic voice that sounded so sweet and simple.

But when she reached the high notes, the true abilities and potential of her voice became apparent. Coaches Marco Borsato and Ilse de Lange both pushed their buttons 30 seconds into her performance, almost simultaneously.

Isabel smiled that she got at least one chair turn. Her family and friends were jumping up and down when the chairs turned.

What about Coach Ali B? Is he going to push his button? Will his chair turn for Isabel?

It’s hard to believe that Isabel was only 16 years old when she joined The Voice Kids. Her voice sounded so seasoned and mature.

And it looks like Coach Marco and Ilse agree because they were simply hooked to her voice. Once their chairs turned and they were facing Isabel, all they focused on was just listening to and enjoying her voice.

And YouTube viewers agree as well.

Isabel’s blind audition video below is one of the most highly viewed blind audition videos from The Voice Kids Netherlands. As of August 2019, her video has been viewed more than 21.5 million times. And throughout the competition, Isabel remained one of the favorites for this season.

In fact, she also got the attention of a big music producer in the Netherlands, who wanted to create a new successful mixed band. And they wanted to create another one with two male and two female singers. They wanted four singers who are already soloists known by the audience.

Isabel joined her other fellow The Voice Kids contestants to form the band, Stay Tuned.

She continues to make music with Lucas van Roekel, Esmee Schreurs, and Jaco Oskam. Lucas van Roekel was the winner of The Voice Kids 2015. He also plays the piano and has performed in front of the Dutch Royal Family.

Esmee Schreurs was the winner of The Voice Kids. She toured with The Common Linnets when Coach Ilse de Lange invited her. Jaco Oskam was in the finals with Esmee on The Voice Kids 2016 and has made guest appearances at the shows of The Common Linnets.

Isabel made up the fourth member of Stay Tuned, who continues to perform in the Netherlands until now. They are signed under the music label, Imagineer Music, and coached by singing coach, Raimond Metting.

On The Voice Kids, Isabel got to battle it out with Maaike and Selenay and sang “Let It Go” by James Bay, where Selenay won.
