The attention on wedding day is mostly centered on the bride. It’s her big day. Away from the wonderfully decorated place, the family and friends dressed to impress, and the handsome groom, it’s the bride’s day.

Her dress is what everyone waits for but more discerning eyes want to see the bride’s makeup. And that’s where makeup artist Arber Bytyqi, based in Prizren, Kosovo, shows his skill. He’s got the hand for it. In fact, he has a different approach for each bride.

Arber’s makeup ideas are truly fascinating. His prominent online presence is one way of seeing this master’s touch.

The makeup artist from Kosovo has garnered over 425k Instagram followers.

That’s because he regularly uploads pictures of the beautiful brides he’s worked with. He’s got lots of fashion and beauty projects but most of his posts are those stunning transformations.

It’s a before-and-after collection of queens.

No bride is the same and Arber knows this. Each lovely lady comes with her own style and personality and that’s how the artist brings out his incredible works. There are those who prefer natural makeup, while other brides go for the full-on glam.

Then there are brides who request for a more unique, alternative look not often seen.

It’s hard to lay down a set of rules as it is the bride’s choice but an artist knows that certain trends won’t always work.

“I got interested in makeup when I was just a child,” Arber shared. “The first drawings that I did were of eyes, girls, or dresses. I used to take my mom’s make-up and play with it when I was only five years old, so I knew that I’d become a makeup artist pretty early.”

It’s certainly an interesting story.

“When I finished high school, my family didn’t want me to continue my studies in the beauty industry because in our culture it’s considered taboo if a male works in this industry. So, at first, I got a master’s degree in economics, and only then did I follow my dream and started working as a makeup artist.”

He’s got that eye for detail.

“When I meet my client, the first question I ask is what kind of occasion are they getting their makeup done for. I also ask my clients if they have any specific requests. For example, if they want a natural or dramatic look. Then I ask them [to show me] the dress that they are going to wear. The design of the dress and its details reveal the style of the look the client is going for. Then, I analyze their facial features.”

“We serve more than one thousand brides in a year. The summer, in particular, is a very demanding season for wedding makeup. During this period, my team and I serve as many as 60 or more clients daily.”

They’re a busy bunch of beauty specialists.

Arber had this to say for those experimenting with makeup.

“Makeup is like jewelry for the face. Play with colors and shapes. Don’t be afraid to transform yourself. At the end of the day, you can just clean it.”

These beautiful brides certainly stunned their guests on the big day!
