The dance has been performed by people all over the imternet, one of which is a former UFC fighter from Hawaii named Troy Mandaloniz, who endured a near-deadly accident in 2015. He loves rodeoing, is a former fighter and coached other MMA fighters, but worked in property management and had to take some risks while earning a livelihood to support his family.

He was up high on a ladder checking on bird damage to a home and fell 18 feet. Troy sustained fractures to his head and his right arm.

According to a GoFundMe page, Troy was in a coma for four days. His wife Adria and children Colt and Iliana were terrified.

Troy spent 66 days in the hospital in Oahu with bleeding on the brain, a fractured forehead and broken orbital bone. He broke his cheekbone and his nose. He snapped two ribs, broke his kneecap and faced never being able to use his right hand again.

He likely would never fight again, let alone coach. He probably would never wrestle another bull, play his favorite ukelele or dance with his daughter.

Fast forward from the 2015 date of the accident to 2019 where Troy is breeding and raising bulldogs Troy is being the best dad he can be, which includes dancing with his kiddos on camera as part of The Git Up challenge.

Troy is dressed in a plaid shirt, jeans, boots and a cowboy hat, and stands on an asphalt driveway with his daughter and son who are both sporting cowboy boots and hats.

As an athlete, it makes sense that Troy has moves, but boy he really does knock this challenge out of the ballpark. Colt is absolutely adorable as he mimics his dad’s smooth dance moves and Iliana puts her own slightly sassy style into their routine.

Troy boogies down hard and gives this routine everything he’s got. He and Iliana share a twirl as they switch spots and Colt dominates in the back row.

This awesome video has been seen thousands of times.

When they shimmy, Troy is hilarious and Colt and Iliana stare at dad for a fleeting moment either in awe or disbelief of what their dad can do.

Toward the end, Troy finishes their dance challenge with a bang by shaking his rear end. Iliana cracks up and Colt does a full body shake, mimicking Dad.
