Missing your flight doesn’t exactly sound like the most appealing thing in the world, but YouTuber Mahshid Mazooji wasn’t going to let that ruin her day. The woman missed her connecting flight in Charlotte, North Carolina and had a few hours to spare.

Instead of being upset or annoyed about the whole thing, Mahshid decided to take a much more positive approach to a negative situation. Mahshid loves to break out a few moves occasionally, and dancing is exactly what she did.

“I missed my connecting flight in Charlotte, and I didn’t want to sit in anger all night long, so instead I did what makes me happiest…DANCE!!!! Oh, and I made some really great friends along the way! Thank you for dancing your troubles away with me!!! :)”

Mahshid’s long layover turned into a dance video that quickly went viral. The woman danced to the tune of Lionel Richie’s popular hit song “All Night Long” from 1983, which seems fitting because Mahshid certainly danced her way through the night and never got bored.

She captured her impromptu dance performances on camera and explored every corner of the airport while she was there.

Her dance moves were definitely infectious, as tons of strangers were more than willing to join and dance along.

Mahshid busted out some moves with other passengers and danced together with some late-night airport staff members as well. She even convinced a Starbucks barista to join and it makes for a hilarious interaction. It’s definitely a fun way to deal with a missed flight and you can see that Mahshid truly is in her element when she’s dancing.

The woman posted her video on YouTube but certainly didn’t expect her performance with strangers to go viral. At the moment, the video has been viewed over 1.6 million times and has been featured as a “Trending Video” on YouTube.

A representative of Charlotte Douglas International Airport also took notice on the video and commented via their official Twitter account:

Plenty of people commented on the hilarious dance video and praised Mahshid’s positive mindset.

“OMG!! Wish more people would overcome problems like this! we would live in a much much better world,” one person commented.

“You are a light in this dark world! Thank you for staying positive in an otherwise bad situation. Blessings!”

The airport staff also received quite some praise on social media.
