Tell David Blaine and Chris Angel to step aside, because there’s a new talented magician in town!
Issy Simpson is just 8-years-old yet her magic routine is good enough to have given Houdini himself a run for his money. Everything about this little girl is absolutely incredible as she shows her stuff on an episode of “Britain’s Got Talent.” Her quick wit and commanding confidence make her magic act mesmerizing. You definitely don’t want to miss it!
Likened to a real-life Harry Potter, Simpson has been dazzling her hometown of Blackpool (the UK version of Las Vegas) since before she could remember.
She told the judges that she thinks she was born to do magic, and that when she grows up, she would like to be Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. After you watch her performance, you’ll realize that that might not be such a crazy goal.
Her first trick is to give Simon Cowell some trouble with moving a box.
The notoriously harsh judge can’t help but laugh after Simpson effortlessly takes a box off of the judge’s table that he was struggling to lift. Not only is she talented when it comes to magic, but she’s pretty hilarious, too!
The purpose of the trick she’s performing (other than showing up two grown men) is to correctly guess a word chosen by random from one of three books she provides the judges with. She reveals the word on a chalkboard that she’s supposedly written on before the act started and then covered with a cloth for a dramatic reveal.
So, does she guess correctly?
Well, you’re going to have to watch to find out, but let’s just say we’re all still scratching our heads over this one.
But we’re not as confused by that trick as we are by her grand finale. It’s one thing to guess a card correctly, but this little Houdini takes the classic trick to a whole other level.
The whole performance was truly magical and we can’t get enough of Simpson’s enchantingly adorable act. The judges loved her, too. Even Cowell stood up to give her a standing ovation.
We have a feeling that after this magical performance, we’re going to be hearing a lot more about Issy Simpson, the world’s most adorable magician, very soon!
