Adding a new member to the family can be an arduous task. Not only will Mom and Dad have to work together to get a new routine down-pat, but any existing children will also have to be eased into the idea.

While some kids can feel a bit threatened by a new baby coming to steal some of Mom and Dad’s attention, one 5-year-old boy named Ethan is simply over the moon after hearing about his family’s newest addition!

In a 3-minute video which was uploaded to YouTube in August of 2015, Sarah Bromby reveals to her 5-year-old son Ethan that he will be becoming a big brother.

The video opens with Ethan sitting in the back seat as Sarah passes him a card. Not quite sure what it is, the boy opens it uncertainly, finally pulling out a couple of ultrasound photos.

“Who is it?” Sarah asks him.

“Me?” the 5-year-old replies.

“No, it’s not you…”

After a few guesses, Sarah decides to reveal the big news, telling her son, “You’re going to be a big brother!”

“Is that your baby?!” the brother-to-be exclaims in response.

Sarah tells him that it is indeed her baby and that it’s in her stomach right now.

The look of pure wonder and confusion on Ethan’s face pretty much says it all.

The 5-year-old just can’t seem to believe that there’s a baby in his mom’s belly, going back to the question multiple times and stealing glances at it throughout the length of the clip— which you can see for yourself below!

Since being uploaded in August of 2015, Sarah and Ethan’s video has been viewed over 7.3 million times and has garnered thousands of comments.

The top-rated YouTube comment reads, “GOD DAMNIT!! THE VOICE… THE ACCENT… THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS… SOOOOO MUCHHH CUTENESSSSSSSSSS.”

And indeed, the cuteness factor of this video is damn near overwhelming.

Christine Chambers, a child psychology professor at Dalhousie University tells Parents Canada that preparing a child for a new sibling can be difficult, explaining:

“Younger children may not even grasp the idea that this baby is going to stay. I’ve heard lots of stories about how the new baby arrives and, after a few days, the older child starts asking when the baby is going to go home.”

But, if Sarah’s more recent YouTube videos are any indication, Ethan and his new sister Macie seem to be getting along just fine!
