Pancake art essentially consists of drawing pictures onto a frying pan or grill with a squeeze bottle filled with pancake batter. Although there are a few different methods, each one requires a steady hand and at least some level of artistic ability.

One father-son duo from Melbourne, Australia, seems to have mastered the medium though, with stunning pancake pieces that are taking the internet by storm.

The pair, who prefer to remain anonymous, post videos of themselves making pancakes to their YouTube channel, TigerTomato.

Their first pancake art video, a pancake rainbow, was posted in March of 2015. Since then, they have accumulated over 1 million subscribers.

Although the two come from an artsy family, the father tells ABC News:

“Pancake batter is the first edible medium we have worked with and we just loved the idea of art and food coming together as if it was meant to be.”

Since the rainbow pancake, the father and son have created dozens of other pieces.

They tend to create a lot of cartoon characters, or things that are cartoonish in style. But you can see more “serious” works in their repertoire, as well.

For example, watch him recreate the stunning “Mona Lisa:”

According to the father, his 8-month-old baby was the inspiration for the pancake pieces.

He explains to ABC News,”We have an 8-month-old in the family surrounded with wonderful cartoon characters, so we thought we would join him.”

Since their channel has gained popularity, they reveal that their fans motivate them, as well.

“We really enjoy reading all the feedback, which has been overwhelmingly positive. Our viewers often give us ideas and suggestions and they inspire use to make more pancakes.”

In May of 2015, the duo received a ton of attention after uploading an Elsa pancake video, which has since been viewed over 17 million times.

Other popular pancakes include their McDonald’s french fries, Starfire from Teen Titans, pepperoni pizza, Barbie doll.

No matter the subject though, people love watching the pancakes being made.
